Introduction
What is Compliance?
Compliance refers to the fulfillment of obligations, both mandatory and as a result of compliance with Law, as well as those that GCS has decided to assume voluntarily and at the top of which is the GCS Code of Conduct.
Who deals with Compliance?
The existence of a true Compliance Culture requires the involvement of all the people who make up GCS. With the aim of helping to maintain this Culture, the Governance and Compliance Committee has been set up to ensure compliance with the obligations that affect GCS.
The Governance and Compliance Committee is conceived as a collegiate body and is composed of the following members: Head of Compliance and Corporate Governance; Administration and Management Control Manager; Internal Audit Manager; Taxation Manager; Chief Risks Officer; Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity Manager (CISO); Head of Sustainability; Data Protection Officer (DPO); External consultant specializing in Criminal Law. The Head of Compliance and Corporate Governance and the Internal Audit Manager will respectively exercise the functions of Chair and Secretary of the Committee for organizational and operational purposes.
How can I report a non-fulfillment of a compliance obligation?
GCS makes available to all its members and third parties the Ethical Channel, a tool through which they must report a non-fulfillment of a compliance obligation established in the legislation, in the GCS Code of Conduct, as well as in any other standard or internal policy.
The communication with the Ethical Channel is confidential. The processing all data will be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the current personal data protection legislation.
What is the internal regulation regarding Compliance?
At the epicenter of the GCS Compliance Culture is the Code of Conduct, which sets out the behavior guidelines expected of all GCS members. In this regard, all workers, managers and people linked to GCS are expected to comply with the aforementioned Code, as well as with the rest of the internal policies.
GCS has been equipped with a crime prevention and anti-bribery management system to structure an environment to prevent, detect and manage criminal and anti-bribery risks, as well as to reduce its undesired effects in the case of its materialization, contributing to generate an ethical culture and respect for the Law among all GCS members.
