2025 marked a turning point for the GCS, which consolidated its technological transformation and positioned itself as a global benchmark in next-generation infrastructure. In this special edition of GCS News, we share all the year’s key milestones.

Our Investor Day presented our strategic vision in data centers, one of the key drivers of the Group’s growth. The solid performance in the first nine months reinforces this direction. In this edition, we also share the latest GCS University initiative to train the leaders of the future in a world shaped by AI.

Management teams from our companies met to set the course for the GCS. Under the vision "One Group, One Team," we shared ideas and defined the Group's new strategic direction to drive growth in key markets. The spirit of transformation was also present at Turner's Innovation Summit in Nashville, where AI took center stage. In addition, we are growing with a nuclear contract in the United Kingdom, new stadiums in the United States, and a battery plant in Australia.

We’re driving innovation and sustainability with the launch of the first YEXIO data center in Germany — a benchmark in low-carbon digital infrastructure — and with CIMIC’s new lithium and magnetite projects, critical minerals that will power the technologies of tomorrow. And in the sports section, Turner has become one of the key players in the kickoff of the NFL season.

In addition, we continue to achieve milestones with flagship projects such as Turner's new skyscraper in Manhattan and the historic financing for the SR 400 Express Lanes in Atlanta.

Twelve months ago, we launched GCS News to share everything that makes us who we are. This month, we celebrate its first anniversary with an edition that shows why we continue to grow and lead.

2024 is coming to an end, but we still have a lot to tell you, and the news of the last few weeks is marked by the #growth of the GCS and our commitment to #innovation and #sustainability.

This month, the GCS's news focuses on the natural catastrophe which has affected the Valencian Community and other communities in Spain. Our priority now is to help those affected and here we tell you what we are doing to ensure that the return to normality is as quick as possible. It has also been an intense few weeks for the rest of the Group, especially in the areas of sustainability, digitalization and innovation.

September marked the start of the new school year. In many parts of the world, we have just left the summer vacations behind, and it is time for adults and children alike to "go back to school". To set an example, we have just announced the creation of GCS University. This is just the beginning. ENR has once again awarded us our leadership certificate, Hochtief has created a new company to expand in digitalization, and we also bring news from Turner, CIMIC, Flatiron, Dragados, and Clece. We announced that we are going to build and operate the SR400 in Atlanta, Abertis won a new concession in Chile and we have continued to make progress in zero emissions mobility through the Glydcars with a new project in the United States. During the month of July, activity for the companies that make up the GCS was frenetic. We presented our half-year results, with a profit of 416 million euros, and we created, from the merger between Flatiron and the business areas of Dragados in North America, the benchmark civil engineering company in the region. But that was not all...

The first half of 2024 has been very busy. We presented results, we held the first Capital Markets Day in our history in Madrid accompanied by all the companies which make up the GCS and only a few weeks later we met with our shareholders at the General Shareholders' Meeting. And there is still more!
